Undoubtedly, the greatest piano composers of all times and their interpreters form the richest source of motivation that PROART MUSICA possesses. We aim for our students to discover everything about these pairs of composers and their respective interpreters, that is the fascinating and magical world of piano. This is the goal that we have set, and we are already on the path toward its achievement through the introduction of the following three projects:
-Posters have been placed on all of our classroom walls in a format that suggests indisputable pairs of great piano composers and their best interpreters.
-A scrapbook has been designed, based on a points’ system in the form of letters, flags, pictures etc., so that our students can create their own personalized recollection of these historical musical pairs.
-We will be publishing a set of brochures every fortnight, both in paper and electronic formats, so that the knowledge that PROART aims to pass on to all of its students can also reach their parents at home. The electronic format of these small brochures will include a link that will allow you to listen to some of the most wonderful performances of these musical geniuses online.
Please note that the list of composers and interpreters that we have included on this first set of brochures is by no means complete. We are positive that many of you will have your own opinions about who should have been included in this first list and we therefore hope that the success of this new project will ensure its continuation in the future so that with time we may include all of these artists!
We have deliberately limited the amount of information to be included in each brochure. This is because we aim not to provide extensive information about composers and interpreters but just a small dosage that will motivate our students and encourage them to individually research more information about each of the proposed musicians.
You will find that on many occasions we will use the names of pianists or composers more than once, although as part of different pairs. This is deliberately designed to extend the number of possible pairs between piano composers and their respective interpreters, so as to address all your different likes and preferences. When a composer is to be used again in subsequent leaflets, we will indicate this with the message “To be continued…”
WE HOPE THAT YOU ENJOY THE MUSICAL WORLD AS MUCH AS WE DO, THANKS TO THOSE WHO ARE UNDOUBTEDLY OUR SOURCE OF INSPIRATION!
